What is the past tense of tatmak?

The definite past (-DI) of tatmak is tattım (I tasted), tattın, tattı, tattık, tattınız, tattılar. The negative is tatmadım (I did not taste), and the reported past is tatmış (he/she apparently tasted).

Its endings are regular, but the stem changes: tat- becomes tad- before a vowel (tadıyorum, tadacağım, tadar) and stays tat- before a consonant (tattım, tatmalıyım). Only a few verbs soften like this: gitmek, etmek and its compounds, and tatmak.

How do you say "I will taste" in Turkish?

"I will taste" is tadacağım. "I won't taste" is tatmayacağım, and "Will you taste?" is tadacak mısın? For plans you have already made, Turkish also uses the present continuous: tadıyorum.
