2. Web Hosting & Security (Cloudflare)

We host this website using Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA / Cloudflare Germany GmbH).

Cloudflare acts as a Content Delivery Network (CDN) and reverse proxy. When you visit our website, your connection is routed through Cloudflare's global servers to deliver pages with high speed and protect our site against cyber attacks (such as DDoS attacks). In this process, your browser transmits technical access data (such as your IP address) to Cloudflare to establish the secure connection.

Legal Basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in ensuring the fast, stable, and secure operation of our educational platform). Data transfers to Cloudflare are governed by standard contractual clauses (SCCs) and Cloudflare's verified Data Privacy Framework certifications.

3. Typography: 100% Self-Hosted (No Google Tracking)

All fonts used on TurkLogic (Outfit and Inter) are self-hosted and delivered from our own domain. We do not load fonts dynamically from external Google servers.

4. Cookies & Local Storage (§ 25 TDDDG)

Without your consent we only use storage that is strictly necessary: your privacy choice is saved in your browser's localStorage (key turklogic_consent_v1) together with a version number and the date you made it. No cookies are set before you consent.

We ask again after 12 months, or earlier if we add or change an optional service. If your browser blocks storage, your choice applies only to the page you are viewing. Optional analytics and advertising services are only activated if you explicitly opt in via the Cookie Banner. You can review, change, or revoke your consent at any time:

5. Web Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to measure how the site is used, for example which grammar guides are read most and which links to the TurkLogic app on Google Play are clicked.

  • Before consent: the Google tag (gtag.js) is not loaded at all and no request is sent to Google. Google Consent Mode is set to “denied” for all purposes by default.
  • After consent: gtag.js is loaded from googletagmanager.com and sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID> (storage period up to 2 years) to recognise your browser across visits. Google receives your IP address to establish the connection; according to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Revoking consent: when you withdraw analytics consent in the Cookie Settings, the tag is disabled, the _ga and _ga_* cookies for this domain are deleted, and the page reloads without Google Analytics.

6. Google AdSense & Advertising

TurkLogic may show ads from Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited) to support the free maintenance of educational Turkish grammar content.

The AdSense script is only loaded, and advertising cookies and identifiers are only set, after you consent to “Google AdSense & Sponsors” in our Cookie Banner. If you decline or choose “Essential Only”, no AdSense script is loaded and no ads are shown. If you withdraw consent later, the page reloads without the ad script. You can also adjust personalized ad preferences directly on Google Ads Settings.

7. TurkLogic Android Mobile App

The TurkLogic: Learn Turkish Android app (com.reinlogic.turklogic) on Google Play operates offline-first:

  • No Mandatory Account: You can study all lessons and quizzes without registering an account.
  • Local Storage: Lesson progress, quiz scores, and SRS flashcard intervals are saved securely on your device.

8. Your Rights Under GDPR (Art. 15–22)

Under European data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Request information about your processed personal data (Art. 15 GDPR).
  • Request the rectification or deletion of your personal data (Art. 16 & 17 GDPR).
  • Request the restriction of data processing (Art. 18 GDPR).
  • Revoke any consent you have granted at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (*Datenschutzaufsichtsbehörde*, Art. 77 GDPR) in your German federal state or EU country.
