What is the past tense of durmak?
The definite past (-DI) of durmak is durdum (I stopped), durdun, durdu, durduk, durdunuz, durdular. The negative is durmadım (I did not stop), and the reported past is durmuş (he/she apparently stopped).
Is durmak irregular?
Only in the aorist (simple present). One-syllable stems normally take -Ar, but durmak is one of 13 exceptions that take -Ir: durur, dururum; negative durmam. Every other tense is regular: duruyorum, durdum, duracağım.
How do you say "I will stop" in Turkish?
"I will stop" is duracağım. "I won't stop" is durmayacağım, and "Will you stop?" is duracak mısın? For plans you have already made, Turkish also uses the present continuous: duruyorum.
