What is the past tense of almak?
The definite past (-DI) of almak is aldım (I took), aldın, aldı, aldık, aldınız, aldılar. The negative is almadım (I did not take), and the reported past is almış (he/she apparently took).
Is almak irregular?
Only in the aorist (simple present). One-syllable stems normally take -Ar, but almak is one of 13 exceptions that take -Ir: alır, alırım; negative almam. Every other tense is regular: alıyorum, aldım, alacağım.
How do you say "I will take" in Turkish?
"I will take" is alacağım. "I won't take" is almayacağım, and "Will you take?" is alacak mısın? For plans you have already made, Turkish also uses the present continuous: alıyorum.
