Turkish Numbers Flashcards: 0 to a Million, Ordinals and Fractions
Turkish numbers are a kit of about 25 words that combine without exceptions: yirmi (20) + üç (3) is yirmi üç, iki yüz (200) + elli (50) is iki yüz elli. Once you know the digits, the tens and the words for hundred, thousand and million, you can read any price, phone number or year.
This deck covers those building blocks, a few compound numbers to show the pattern, the ordinal suffix -(I)ncI (birinci, ikinci, üçüncü) and the words you need for time and shopping such as yarım, buçuk and çeyrek. Two traps are flagged in the notes: 100 and 1,000 are just yüz and bin (never 'bir yüz'), and a noun after a number stays singular (üç elma, not üç elmalar).

Numbers flashcards: FAQ
How do you say 1,000 and 100 in Turkish?
100 is yüz and 1,000 is bin, with no 'one' in front. From two upwards you multiply: iki yüz (200), üç bin (3,000). A million is different: bir milyon, iki milyon.
Why is it üç elma and not üç elmalar?
After a number, Turkish nouns stay singular because the number already shows the quantity: iki kitap (two books), beş kişi (five people). The plural -ler/-lar is only used without a number.
How do I study the Numbers flashcards?
Press the card (or Space) to see the answer, then choose Know or Again. Known cards move up through five Leitner boxes and come back after 1, 3, 7 and 21 days; missed cards return to box 1 and reappear a few cards later. Your progress is saved in this browser, and you can switch between TR → EN and EN → TR at any time.
Can I use the Numbers deck in Anki?
